Gena Shaw: Director, Executive Producer, Writer
Born and raised in New Jersey, Gena Shaw was cast in her first television pilot before graduating from High School. She has gone on to appear in numerous films, commercials and television shows (CSI, Cold Case, Without a Trace). While studying acting in Manhattan, Gena amended her theater classes with writing workshops and was able to finish her first feature film script before the age of twenty.
After relocating to Los Angeles, she decided jump in head first to film-making by writing, producing and directing her first film, "DIG." Drawing upon her years of experience in front of the camera, she approached directing with a simple philosophy: Let the actors play, trusting them to prepare without requiring much rehearsal time, thereby creating a set that is fun, creative and comfortable for the actors to thrive in.
Gena continues to Act, Write, Produce and Direct. She is currently at work on several short film projects and is putting the finishing touches on a feature length screenplay.
